Milk is a rich source of complex carbohydrates and these increase your metabolism by keeping your insulin levels low after your meal. It is desirable to have a low insulin level, as high insulin levels will trigger your body to stubbornly hold onto your fats.
A study conducted by the University of Tennessee has found that dieters who consume a daily basis of 1,200 to 1,300mg of milk lost almost twice as much weight as compared to dieters who did not consume milk!
2. Egg Yolks – With all of their fatty egg yolks! Many people have been falsely led to believe that the cholesterol found in egg yolks is bad for health and they choose only to eat the egg whites. Contrary to this believe, the cholesterol found in egg yolks actually increases the good cholesterol in our body!
Egg yolks are very densely packed with lots of nutrients, minerals and vitamins. Always choose your eggs from free roaming organic bred chickens, which have a higher content of Omega-3.
